About FieryAshes
Get to know me a bit

The Woman
My name is Bunny, my usernames around the internet are either AshyBunny or FieryAshes with only a few weird outliers where those weren't available haha.
I'm a bi and demi (and it's easier to just summarize it as "queer") woman. My pronouns are she/her.
In October 2024, I married my wonderful partner (they/them) who I've been with since August 2012.
We have 2 kiddos and a gaggle of queer youth that have chosen us as found family/additional support network. All of my family, found or otherwise mean the world to me.
I'm from the USA, along the west coast. I currently reside in the Portland metropolitan area in Oregon. Even though I've lived here for quite some time I still love to explore my whole region (the "PNW") and my metropolitan area. It fills me with joy checking out new public art, the local food and music scenes, and exploring the abundance of nature around here. I never get tired of being here.
I've been playing video games since I was a toddler, board games since I was about 4 years old, and TTRPGs since high school. Gaming is a huge passion of mine. I think it makes the world a genuinely better place. It's modern day bardic and such an amazing form of expression for those that make them, and it's such a wonderful outlet for those that play them.
I'm disabled. I have many health issues but in broad strokes - I can't lift very much, I can't bend over very well or very often, and I struggle with walking or standing for too long (or sometimes at all.) Even sitting too long can be an issue if I don't change my position regularly due to bone and muscle issues. I am prone to migraines and also live with chronic pain, including but not limited to nerve pain. It can definitely be a real buzz kill but it does mean that remote, flexible hours work is the best possible thing for me. So content creation didn't just become the dream and the passion, it became the most gloriously accessible thing I've encountered. Which has been an amazing part of everything that has happened over the last several years.

The Streamer
As a streamer you'll find I often rotate what I'm playing, what I'm doing, every day of the week! Each stream is a different type of game or sometimes even multiple games in a row, or sometimes it's not gaming at all! Above all else there are a few core components to my content:
♥ Supportive Vibes Only ♥
- It is what I call "Supportive Vibes Only" in my spaces be they stream chats or Discord, or members only chats elsewhere.
- I think being positive all the time is unrealistic and unattainable for most people, but being supportive all the time is something I can always strive to be and something I can always try to shape the community into.
♥ Learning Together is Growing Together ♥
- A core belief of mine I share with everyone is that I think learning together is important, I think it's how we grow together as people!
- It looks like: admitting to gaps in knowledge, taking the time to enthusiastically learning the new things, sharing knowledge with each other in non-judgemental ways... Sometimes it's learning things like little songs or speedruns on stream.
- It's also a huge part of why I love to share first impressions of games, free of spoilers, in my content.
The short list of things you'll find:
♥ Games of nearly all genres ♥
♥ Demos + indie game first impressions, first playthroughs from indie to AAA titles, speedruns, casual achievement hunting including the occassional RA (RetroAchievements) ♥
♥ Non-gaming content as well: Cooking, crafting, art, co-working, and other IRL streams ♥
Horror and story rich games are my favorites so they find their way into the rotation regardless of other things happening.

The Old Ways Cast Member
I'm a cast member of The Old Ways!
After working with them for a couple projects, I joined the cast full time starting in June of 2024! It's such a pleasure to be involved with them.

The Live Event/Convention Goer
My whole adult life has been very devoted to going to and supporting live events. As an attendee, as press, as staff, as a presenter/panelist... I adore going to conventions, expos, concerts, festivals. Live events have my heart.
If you have any events you'd like me to attend or would like to suggest I look into, I love to travel and I live for events so I'd be so pleased to experience more of them.
My community also really enjoys my travel content I've done in the past and would like me to do more, so I'm more than happy to document as much of it as I can!

The Other Content
I love exploring social media and making sure I learn all its different features. It's really fun and exciting to learn how to connect with people across a variety of platforms where they feel the most comfortable engaging on the internet. It's cool using my Patreon to share reviews, other written works, blogs, vlogs, art, behind the scenes content, and all sorts of things that don't really have a place elsewhere. It's great after being on YouTube as a user since the mid-2000s and dabbling with YouTube video creation occasionally over the years - while studying how the algorithms work and connecting with friends to learn about the internals of it all - to be really exploring what it's like to make a genuine go of it as a YouTube creator. Long form, short form, experimental projects, seeing how it can all come together finally while also brushing off technical skills. Editing TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube shorts has been really educational to me while BlueSky and Threads have been interesting breaths of air when it comes to short form mostly written content.
It's a really fascinating set of things to explore. I'm always trying my best to share myself, content I've made, and works I'm proud of regardless of platform and 2025 is the year where I continue to lean further into more content creation beyond just Twitch streams.
With TikTok going away soon (in my country at least), I'll be redirecting that energy to platforms that currently have no public expiration dates. 😅
With the membership section of FourthWall getting better all the time, I want to move a lot of work over here instead and see how that goes instead of having so many places for that. But without deleting all of the other platforms yet. Just sort of testing how this would work and if it'll be better in the long run, especially if they keep adding more features.
