Game On! To End Lupus (GOTEL) is an annual fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) at the beginning of Lupus Awareness Month, so the first week of May usually, every year! The campaigns are (largely) left open and the main official campaign is left open until the end of Lupus Awareness Month but the main events are mostly during the GOTEL weekend itself. It started in 2020 so this is it's 6th Annual event. We know the world is in chaos right now, but this year is on track to possibly be the year that GOTEL will have collectively raised $1,000,000 for Lupus research and Lupus health care resources. It's incredible.

I have loved ones with lupus and several other autoimmune diseases in my life, I have lost some people to autoimmune disease complications, and I know many lupus warriors who are still out here kicking serious booty.

As a chronically ill and permanently disabled woman, who has a mysterious undiagnosed issue with my own immune system, I feel so deeply for my friends and family who struggle with their own bodies being a battle field every day. While I do not know exactly what it's like for any of them, they get deep running empathy and support from me - however I can manifest that. I also know that lupus can manifest in so many different ways that no two people with lupus have the same experience with it.

We love to educate each other here, to uplift each other, and to support one another. This specific event and its cause is very close to my heart.

It's an honor to raise money for it every year, it's an honor to work on my fundraiser every year, and it's an honor to help moderate for the LFA year round for this event/their Discord server.
